Associate Product Manager

Position Summary:

The candidate we are looking for will work with existing and new vendors to help develop product road maps for target categories and customers. You will also be responsible for reconciliation and analysis of pre and post sales activities.  To be successful in this role, you must have strong interpersonal and project management skills. You must be a team player who collaborates well with others and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Duties Include:

  • Support strategic sourcing and manufacturing plans, objectives, and financial goals.
  • Be a part of the evaluation, design, and development of sourcing capabilities, scale the sourcing business while raising the bar on product quality.
  • Develop and continuously innovate product development guidelines, develop standard practices and tools to bring new products to market with industry leading time to market.
  • Foster relationships with external suppliers while holding them to high operating and quality standards.
  • Assist in the management of product roadmaps and lifecycle transitions.
  • Help build out product assortment in target categories.
  • Contribute to the development of go to market strategies for distribution.
  • Work with team to develop long term campaigns to build brand.
  • Act as point person with distribution partners to reconcile transactions, identify trends, and take appropriate actions.
  • With the guidance of the director, develop and continuously innovate product development guidelines, develop standard practices and tools to bring new products first to market in fast paced tech industry.
  • Develop relationships with external suppliers while holding them to high operating and quality standards.
  • Perform supply market data analysis and recommend suppliers and vendors to the business.
  • Manage product roadmaps and lifecycle transitions.
  • Recognize market shifts, product transitions and changes in consumer behavior.
  • Help support the creation of go to market strategies for distribution and ecommerce.
  • Lead and prepare medium to high complexity strategic sourcing transactions, negotiations, and supplier selection for products and services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant work experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office products including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with IT Hardware products is a plus.
  • Experience in any of the following categories: category management, product management, retail management are lines of work that would align.
  • Retail Management Experience is a plus.
  • Must be open to working onsite in a hybrid model.
  • Daily onsite training will be required for the first few months.
